SEO, have you heard about this term on internet. If you have search the internet for marketing your Blog or Website then you should have heard about it. SEO is nothing but a Search Engine Optimization. What does that mean?. Nothing much, everybody wants to list their sites in search engine like Google, Yahoo and Msn, however it has always been difficult to do so. SEO is a way of making your website or blog according to Search Engine. ALthough you will not change your content but you just need to keep in mind that it is the most important thing to get your website listed in search engine and get good rating. There are number of ways you can do this.The term SEO also refers to "search engine optimizers," an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients' sites. Obviously you need to pay them and make your pocket bit light.
SEO is an attempt to manipulate rankings, and that the particular methods one uses to rank well are irrelevant.Search engines display different kinds of listings in the search engine results pages (SERPs), including: pay per click advertisements, paid inclusion listings, and organic search results. SEO is primarily concerned with advancing the goals of a website by improving the number and position of its organic search results for a wide variety of relevant keywords. SEO strategies may increase both the number and quality of visitors. Search engine optimization is sometimes offered as a stand-alone service, or as a part of a larger marketing effort, and can often be very effective when incorporated into the initial development and design of a site.
Google, Yahoo and Msn do not disclose the fact about how they search the web and rank pages. Previously it was done on the basis of the page rank but now there are different ways. No body knows about it but some SEO's have carried out some experiment and have come with various method to help your site or blog rank good. In the next post I will discuss about some important element that are considered with search engines.
According to SEO's the important things that influence the Search Engine are
1. Keywords in the title tag.
2. Keywords in links pointing to the page.
3. Keywords appearing in visible text.
4. Link popularity (PageRank for Google) of the page.
In the recent past the operator of Search Engine noticed that some webmaster are manipulating their website so that they can rank better in the search engine. Also while you hire any SEO's for your site please check because some SEO companies employ aggressive techniques that get their client websites banned from the search results. The Wall Street Journal profiled a company that allegedly used high-risk techniques and failed to disclose those risks to its clients.[6] Wired reported the same company sued a blogger for mentioning that they were banned.[7] Google's Matt Cutts later confirmed that Google did in fact ban Traffic Power and some of its clients.[8].
In early 2006, MSN Search typically re-indexed small websites every 14 days, and Yahoo! also re-indexed quickly, much faster than Google, but all three MSN/Yahoo!/Google could require more than a month to index a new page (new file name) on an old website.
